Applications Perspective Cont'd

Session Review

Furthermore, once the break ended i learned of a useful tool in photoshop known as the "perspective crop" tool.

I then discovered a tool under Filter > Vanishing Point also once you click Ok it will save the changes you have made permanently.

The task for next weeks session is to choose a range of techniques and genre and express visual means of communication (semiotics( and create several memorable pictures that show you have a comprehension of photographic techniques.

Final Brief Notes

Develop six images that all share the theme of change and the techniques can be different for each image.

Start brainstorming concepts for your final series of images and list a series of techniques.
  • Consider the theme or topic you want to express.
  • Use an encyclopedia or thesaurus for theoretical ideas
  • All effects must only be used in the camera.
  • Post Production you can only crop images.
  • However, four of your images can be edited in an image editing software such as adobe photoshop.
  • Develop a proposal first such as taking test shots, sketches, mood boards etc.
  • Once you have your pictures what effect do you want on your audience similar to the effect of a film.
  • Avoid being generic and literal
  • Look at Alfred Hitchcock,
Critical
  • Report must be printed and answer who has influenced you, address the module learning outcomes and critical theories (perspective).
  • Print work in A3 monochrome (must have a good reason) although it is recommended you print in colour.
  • Submit final images as JPEGS on CD or USB stick.
